Zimbabwe literature consists of Shona literature, Ndebele literature and English literature, which plays a significant role in African literature. Among these three parts, English literature experiences a more splendid development which can be divided into three periods: the embryo (late 19th century-early 20th century), the maturity (1950s-1970s), and the boom (1980s-). Compared with other foreign literatures, the translation and introduction of Zimbabwe literature in China are fewer, and mostly in English. The first introduction in our country is in 1980s and then it goes through a blank period, and the translation hasn’t developed until the early 21th century. To sum up, the translation and introduction of Zimbabwe literature contain some typical demerits like tiny number of translations, lack of introduction, no authority standards of authors’names as well as thei
